History:
Paradigm was formed in October 1991 by President and
CEO Philip Weglein. As an early adaptor of Microsoft's®
Windows product, the company quickly caught the
eye of many municipalities and private organizations
around the country. The company recognized the
need for Windows® based applications that offers both
ease of use and flexibility. The products were
developed with the vision to build a best of
breed set of applications for the weighing and routing
industries for all Microsoft® environments. In the present day, the
company offers the most experienced and leading development tools
and applications for our customers to obtain the
detailed information necessary in order to successfully
manage their facilities.
As the name implies, Paradigm is the model software
product for the industry and is
forming the basic infrastructure for object-oriented
software development in the weighing and routing
industries. Starting with a new generation technology suited for both rich
client as well as server-based, multiple client
environments, Paradigm shaped a strategy to develop
a comprehensive toolset of products
built on a framework allowing
interfaces with the look and feel of today's most
popular applications, including Microsoft® Office and
Microsoft® Windows. Our fundamental goal remains to
provide these solutions in a wide range of development
environments (Microsoft®
Access, Microsoft®
SQL Server, .NET, & Handhelds) to allow our customers the freedom of utilizing
our products to answer each one of their facility
needs across their organization.
Paradigm's product line is currently used
across the United States and Canada in over 250
locations
by government municipalities, military bases, and
private organizations. Our complete product line is
developed using best practices, which is why
Paradigm's customers are committed to the company and
our products for over 12 years.
Our applications are products that corporations rely on
to produce exceptional data management in-house as well as
commercially. Some of the customers utilizing the
products developed by Paradigm include: Orange
County, CA; Kern County, CA; San Bernardino, CA; Cobb
County, GA; City of Denton, TX; City of Garland, TX;
Delaware
Solid Waste Authority, DE; Clay County, FL; Deffenbaugh
Industries, KS; Wasatch Energy, UT; City and County of
Honolulu, HI; Hennepin County, MN; and NRG Energy.
Today:
In the first quarter of 2003, Paradigm released our
latest module for the CompuWeigh™
System with implementation of our Microsoft®
Message Queuing module. This module will allow our
customers near real-time processing without the remote
locations running off of the network. When the
transaction is processed at the remote location, it is
immediately transferred back to the central server via a
LAN or internet connection. If the connection is
not available, the data is held locally until the
connection to the server is restored. At that time
the data will be transmitted.
On June 1, 2003 Paradigm launched CompuRoute, the new
standard in routing, dispatching and container tracking
for the industry. This system empowers the user to
be in full control of their routes and containers.
Since it's release the product has received high praise
from current and new customers alike.
The first quarter of 2004 Paradigm introduced our
Alerts Module and Rules Module. These new Modules
will provide our customers with more control over their
data and the ability to prevent data
entry errors.
Our customer base is continuing to grow and all
customers benefit from new development and enhancements
to the products. In addition to new development,
Paradigm offers a Support Services Program leveraging a
wide range of services to help
clients gain the most from their investment.
