Success Story:
Wasatch Energy Systems switched from the ASI/Metlor Toledo scale software
package to the CompuWeigh/WeighStation system in 1999. Located in Layton
Utah, Wasatch Energy is currently using WeighStation CE version 1.0 to process
residential flat fee customers on busy Saturdays. The scale house could
process up to 1400 vehicles across one scale and found that customer wait times
could be excessive . To limit the amount of vehicles having to cross the
scale they implemented the WeighStation CE Handheld application. The
Handheld PC allows a operator to walk along the line of vehicles and process
customers on the spot. This allows many customers to bypass the single
scale. The customer can pay with cash, check or wireless authorized credit
cards. All transactions are saved to the network upon closeout (with
backup data stored in persistent memory locally on the device).
Transactions numbers are kept in sync with the scale house by calling Active
Server Pages and ActiveX components on the local Intranet.
Actual Screen Shots:

2. Select Payment type.

3. Enter amount tendered. Press Enter and that's it! A ticket (that
you can design) is printed.

4. Credit card information can be read in and wirelessly processed if needed.
